Over the past 15 years, I’ve been researching a variety of long-distance gear that can withstand all weather conditions – rain, snow, frost, impact. Since I spend 24 hours outside while traveling, I need gear that can withstand moisture. Here I have listed the main equipment I use to store my luggage.
Bike bags
VAUDE Aqua Back – Bike bags
I have been using Vaude bags for five years and they have never let me down. Meeting all my requirements, I feel comfortable with them, protected from the elements, easy installation. In 2019 I used front bags on a trip through Scandinavia, where in Norway I tested them in constant rain and snow in the mountains. Unlike other brands, these bags in cold weather, the material from which they are made does not freeze and does not break, but remains elastic, this is due to the absence of PVC. One of the advantages of these bags is the quick installation, through which I can quickly release or put the bags back on the bike. In one incident, they even withstood an impact without tearing or fraying.
Waterproof Bags
DRI PRO WATER PROOF DRY BAG 25L
A light and comfortable waterproof bag in which I mainly put the tent, the sleeping bag and some small items. Unlike other bags, the material from which this bag is made is PVC, which becomes a little hard in cold weather. Rain resistant.
